Due to the nature of the wholesale market, we provide our weekly prices in our customer only area. If you are a wholesale company and interested in getting a password for access into this area, please fill out our request form. If you have a specific question, you may email us and we will try to help you.
We have provided a credit application that you can print, complete and fax back. Please also send us the original via USPS. We process these requests as quickly as possible. If you are interested in buying from us immediately, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Obies Floral specializes in growing our "gold label" California grown hydroponic roses. You can see actual photos of each beautiful variety under our products section. We have chosen a few specialty flowers like hydrangea, stephanotis, gardenias, fresh rose petals, ivy and smilax to complement our roses year round. We also strive to meet our customer demand by offering some of the best seasonally grown flowers from the rich growing climate of the surrounding area.
What is the best way to care for your flowers?
You must hydrate them first - upon receipt of your fresh cut flowers, immediately open the box, cut about one inch of the flower stems and place in water. Make sure that the buckets are clean and the water is fresh. Let the flowers hydrate for 24 hours before arranging. You will need to add a floral preservative to the water and remove any foliage that is going to be underwater to prevent bacteria growth. You should check the water level daily and replace the water every few days. Your flowers will perform best if they are placed in a cool place, away from heat sources.
Do you guarantee your flowers?
Obies Floral makes every effort to ensure that your flowers arrive in excellent condition. We only ship flowers that are absolutely fresh, packed correctly in insulated boxes, and pre-cooled. If the shipping company handles your boxes as expected, the flowers will be guaranteed. However, we cannot control what happens to the flowers during transit. We ask that you report in writing any quality problems within 24 hours of receipt in writing. We will work with you individually if credit issues include common carriers.
We can ship flowers via FEDEX, Common Carrier Airline, Wilsey Bennett, Armellinni, Jessup, Floral Air Cargo, Metroflor, California Overnight and anything else at our customer's request. We have daily service to San Jose and San Francisco Airports. Because of our affiliation with CAFG&s, we are able to offer discounted rates on many types of carriers. We are interested in helping you determine the appropriate and best form of transportation for your fresh flowers.
Our packers are trained to pack your flowers correctly. Whether we are packing a full box of roses or custom packing many types of flowers for your special order, we strive to strike the balance between getting the flowers to their destination in good condition and maximize the valuable space in the box. Most of our flowers are packed in insulated boxes with ice. Obies Floral is located in Watsonville, California. We are located about 8 miles from the ocean, half way between Monterey and Santa Cruz on the Monterey Bay. The growing climate is excellent. Our summer is cool due to the seasonal foggy days and the winters are extremely mild with days often in the 70 degrees. We can easily be found at 255 Coward Road, Watsonville. Coward Road crosses Highway 129 between Highway 1 and Highway 101.
Obies Floral is open Monday through Friday from 6am - 2pm PST and Saturday from 7am -10am PST. Our customers are always welcome to visit, pick up flowers, or have a tour. Please call before you come.
Most of our customers call, email or fax orders. We are very flexible and try to accommodate what works best for you. We also have an order form available in our customer only area for use by Wholesale Florists with an Obies password.
We do not send out catalogs. This helps to keep our prices low. You may browse our site and view everything about our products on line.
